‘Twas the day before Christmas
And across the office floor,
There was a bustle of activity
As contracts were prepared behind every door.
Clients were calling with a million questions
“Get this deal wrapped up,” they’d exclaim with such cheer,
Dreaming of a thousand contractual exchanges,
The deal must be closed by the end of this year!
Claim Forms were drafted and filed
Hoping to find a resolution to dysfunction.
Isn’t there a quicker way to get this resolved?
Perhaps an expedited injunction!
Among the hustle and bustle, the copier was humming
And suddenly the panic turned to fear -
Our equity partner, in jeans and no tie,
Carrying cheese, crackers and a festive beer!
With that, we sat down and enjoyed a holiday gathering,
Whilst the elves researched and drafted the wills.
And then from the kitchen came Santa himself:
“Merry Christmas to all! To whom shall I send the elves’ bills?”
