The year’s only halfway through and Giles Wilson are already being recognised at a number of industry award ceremonies, including being named the third best boutique firm in the country.
It’s only July and it’s
already looking like 2015 will be another very rewarding year for the team at
Giles Wilson. This comes on the back of a successful 2014, which saw the firm
receive high commendation from the Law Society and our first Legal 500 listing.
So far this year the firm has been named the third best boutique firm in the
country and been shortlisted for two further awards. But it’s not just the firm
celebrating; individual recognition is also being given to our solicitors, with
Caroline Andrews nominated for a women-only award.
Caroline’s June nomination for WeAreTheCity’s Rising Star Awards kicked off an exciting couple of months for the firm. Our Associate Solicitor joins nine other women on the shortlist, five of whom will be chosen to join the top 50 individuals across all fields. The awards, which are new for 2015, are the first to focus on the female talent pipeline and seek to represent the leaders and role models of tomorrow.
It wasn’t long before the whole firm could join Caroline in celebrating their success. On Tuesday 23rd June over 1200 legal professionals gathered at the Grosvenor Hotel in London for The Lawyer Awards 2015 in association with Travellers. Amongst them were Melinda Giles and George Lewzey representing Giles Wilson for our nomination in the ‘Boutique Firm of the Year – National’ category. The firm were up against the very best regional law firms throughout the country in what is a hugely prestigious category, and were very proud to be awarded third place.
Only a few weeks later and Giles Wilson are being recognised again, this time by the Halsbury Legal Awards 2015. We are delighted to have been shortlisted in the ‘Award for Diversity and Inclusion’ and the ‘Law Firm of the Year – 50 or fewer employees’ categories.
With the awards ceremony to be held on Wednesday 16th September and the Legal 500 set to be published the following month, success in both would be the perfect end to another fantastic year.
