GILES WILSON announces Promotions for 2025

Managing Partner, Head of Private Client

We are thrilled to announce successful applications for Partnership at Giles Wilson this summer.
Sade Assibey, Kirsty Buxton and Tom Cawcutt will all take up their positions on 1 September 2025 joining partners Caroline Woodham, Roy Daby, Philip Giles and Melinda Giles. As Giles Wilson goes from strength to strength we are delighted to congratulate our new partners to lead and manage our growing team.
Sade Assibey has years of experience supporting vulnerable adults both in public and private practice which provides an essential background to challenging decisions on behalf of her clients and their families in terms of care needs and funding, health and welfare and the appointment of deputies both in the welfare and the property/affairs pathways at the Court of Protection. Her promotion to Partner is credit to her leadership and extensive legal knowledge and client care in this field.
Kirsty Buxton combines her background as a private client solicitor understanding the whole sphere of wills, trusts and probate with her acquired expertise in Court of Protection, statutory wills and the setting up of trusts for disabled family members. From applications for deputyship to managing affairs under LPAs or deputyship, Kirsty’s knowledge and experience provides her clients with a top quality client centred service in looking after the needs of the elderly and vulnerable. Her promotion to Partner is welcomed by the team who she will lead alongside Sade to provide the excellent and top quality expert advice.
Tom Cawcutt has many years experience in all aspects of property buying and selling. From high rise leasehold flats with his specialist knowledge of The Building Safety Act to sales and acquisitions of commercial or agricultural land and properties, Tom’s extensive knowledge and calm approach on behalf of his clients makes him an excellent adviser to his clients. We are delighted that he will be leading our Property Team and working alongside each of our valued conveyancers and their support in this highly pressurised area of work where teamwork is crucial, and reputation is everything.
